The track "Dead on the Dance Floor" is a re-recording of a song of the same name from 2003 that the band had recorded when they played metalcore under the name Bleak December.
The music found 5 minutes into the background of "Dead on the Dance Floor" is the theme from The Terminator films in which they transposed into a breakdown, and been copied by countless bands since.
In that same song, a voicemail message is heard from an upset woman. The woman heard in the message was actually guitarist Nick Eash's ex-girlfriend speaking to guitarist Nick Piunno's ex-girlfriend which was the result of the band members pranking her into a dramatic misunderstanding.
"One Body Too Many", "Legions", "A Cold Day in Hell" and "Anthems of Apocalypse" were re-recorded for the band's record label debut Decimate the Weak (2008).
